At the moment riding high in first place, by virtue of being the only operator on the list but need to get ahead quick.
If you haven’t already done it, go and press the thumb:
http://www.diving-network.com/operation/United%20Kingdom/Halton-Charters/
Here’s how.
(a) Go to above link.
(b) Book a weeks diving.
(c) Scroll to bottom of page.
(d) Push this button: ![]()
The one next to it up the other way doesn’t work so no need to push that.
(e) Sit down and put the kettle on cos that was quite hard work.
Phew: just been through the wash cycle on the computer technical type thing but managed to get a listing on the new diving network type thing.
Not understanding much of what would be simple if my brain was binary rather than erratic but had my hand held like a trepidous kid at the school gates on the first day of term and got thru to bask in the light at the end of the tunnel. I think Alan wanted to me to parcel up the computer and send it to him cos the problem was definitly between the seat and the keyboard. Thankq anyway.
See my listing:

Must be early days as I am listed as No1 in the UK. Yes you heard it here. In a recent poll of YD people Halton Rocked! First out of one. Gold for the Black boat.
Gonna sleep smug tonight.
“Allez, allez…ALLEZ!!”
Nope, they are still standing there like lemons despite the shot being two foot away at their feet.
Ah!!
“Sprigen”
Splash.
That did it.
Austrians this week. French have gone.
…..gentle start on the Karlsruhe followed by a dip on the Goby and home for tea….!!
weather been nice all day: bit of an easterly blow at lunch but not a puff now.
Troops only arrived today in the evening from Austria so I have had the day off. Was spent watching a Hen Harrier: beautiful.
Was busy during the week and didn’t manage daily blog so doing a page instead:
Forecast thurs pm: 06:00 - 12:00, SE 25-30kts gust 40 becoming variable. They were right too.
Planned to do the James Barrie but rounded Calf of Flotta to find loads of big waves so binned that plan and did the Tabarka instead. I suspect there had been a rebelion among the rank and file as the TV crew specified a German week but the troops wanted otherwise for the last day. One dive only due to flights etc the next day…
Spent the afternoon fannying around in glorious sunshine in Stromness harbour trying to explain to the French that it would definitly rain on their drying kit as “see that man over there…?? he has just got a paint brush out and taken the top off the tin” despite there not being a cloud in the sky.
Markgraf/KPW split in the morning followed by a Dresden afternoon. Cracking weather am (ie none) picking up from the SE for a jabbly pm.
People make all kinds of promises at the end of a week: some you know will be forgotten in five minutes, some you know will need prompting but will eventually come good, whilst the rarest category are those you know you can just have faith in. They will not need a reminder: what’s said will be done.
And it is this last attitude that permeates all the things that they do which is why
these guys are such a good club and why I am now chuffed to bits with my new log book stamp. If you live near, join them.
Many thanks!!
See in Finding Nemo… the gulls go “Mine, mine, mine”.
Thought that was very funny.
In France they went “a moi, a moi, a moi”
Though that was great. Some jokes do translate.
Brummer again, for logistical reasons and F2, for metereological reasons.
Brummer and Koln. Two cruisers today. Weather good but shite forecast.
